We are a United Methodist Congregation. The United Methodist Church shares a common heritage and foundational beliefs with other Christians.
We believe in God, who is one, revealed in three distinct persons.
We believe in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God’s present activity in our midst.
We believe that we are made in the image of God. Like God, we have the ability to love, care, communicate and create.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, an extension of Christ’s life and ministry in the world today.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is the primary authority for our faith and practice.
We believe that the kingdom of God is both a present reality and a future hope.
All are welcome here. In the Spirit of Jesus Christ, we commit to being a community in which persons of diverse age, marital status, race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, economic status, and physical, mental or developmental ability are welcomed and affirmed.
To all who have known the pain of exclusion or discrimination from church or in society,
we offer a place of respite and welcome. Open hearts. Open minds. Open doors.
The United Methodist Church is a global denomination that opens hearts, opens minds and opens doors through active engagement with our world. The mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as "practical divinity" has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.
